Abstract
Our hospital is a referral center for trauma management; firearm injuries continue to be a major public health problem. The management of patients with facial gunshot wounds varies and involve four main steps namely securing an airway, control of haemorrhage, identifying concomitant injuries and finally definitive repair of the facial deformity. In this case report, a young man from Iraq with severe explosive injury to right face and destruction of soft tissue and bones of upper and lower jaws referred for multiple stage reconstructions. Primary survey was done at another center in Iraq. His facial trauma was reconstructed in four stage during two years; we used a delto-pectoral flap from the chest wall for soft tissue reconstruction and bone grafting and miniplates for bone reconstruction.
