Abstract
Background and Aim: Smartening the functioning of organizations is one of the important features of the fourth industrial revolution due to the widespread use of new technologies. All processes and equipment in a smart hospital are designed to be connected and integrated through smart software to increase productivity, reduce waste of time and money, and ultimately provide better patient care. For a better understanding of the components of a smart hospital based on modern technologies, this study can be used in the form of a practical and generalizable framework to be used in Iran's health system, especially military hospitals.
Methods: A qualitative study was conducted through document content analysis. Initially, all available documents and articles related to the smart hospital were identified by reviewing electronic sources. The selection of documents was purposeful, considering the four criteria of JUPP. After a multi-stage screening process, 56 documents were ultimately selected for analysis, which took place after coding.
Results: The ideal features for establishing a field hospital to provide optimal medical services to the wounded and injured due to war or accidents were identified and recorded in 40 fields.
Conclusion: Smartening up, it is necessary to make this issue a priority for hospital managers, especially in military hospitals, and to establish the platforms and facilities for implementing and using each of these technologies in the organization to reduce costs, increase productivity, and provide better services to patients.
